Ketosis

A metabolic state induced by diet that forces your body to burn fat, not glucose, for energy.

Macronutrients

Net Carbs

Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber. Calculating them is important because your body makes glucose only from net carbs. Fiber has no effect on your blood glucose levels whatsoever (eat as much as you like).

Your daily intake of net carbs should not exceed 30 grams. This is the upper limit you can reach before being kicked out of ketosis. However, eating around 20 grams a day is optimal for most people.
